This Just Stinks!

Here mommy is enjoying a rare cuddle moment with K. Gotta love it!
Me and my sandbox!
We just think it's stinky that mommy has to go back to work!!! Phew!

Sorry for the Delay!

Well, this week is my last week with K. I have to go back to work next week and I am going to miss this summer with my little rose. I have been bad about posting pictures on the blog, but my routines have been a little messed up this summer. K is growing so quickly and sometimes I forget to keep many of you updated on her progress. She is right now 21 pounds and around 30 inches in length. She is in the tenth percentile in both so she is just "petite." (Polite way of saying short like her mother) She walks around all of the time and is adjusting well to her new environment. She loves being able to get granddaddy to take her outside for blueberries and Nate and I have been able to go out on a date every once in awhile. There are definite benefits in living around family. We are still waiting on our house to sell, but as many of you know the market is not the best for that. We know God will provide the perfect person to live in our house and meanwhile we are to be patient. (Once again, NOT something that I am great at) I promise to be better about posting, but I wanted to share these adorable pictures with you. She loves the camera!

Pictures of Our Little Cutie (& Aunt Amy)

K is still teething and so she loves putting cold things in her mouth. Ice and popsicles seem to be the favorite this summer.
Here I am in PaPa's chair. I'm just getting so big that I don't need any of those silly highchairs.
Here is my Aunt Amy. I have two of them so it will be easy to learn their names. I already have them down pat, sort of;) Mommy has to go back to work soon and I think she is going to miss me! Who wouldn't?

Me and My "Bay-beh"

K enjoys playing the baby in her baby bed. She pronounces it "bay-beh," which sounds just a tad bit southern;)
No dada!!! I want to be the baby all by myself!
Daddy rocks both of the babies to sleep. Doesn't work with K, but she sure enjoyed it.
We are slowly recovering, but she is also getting in eye teeth, which has been a real joy! She has had asthma problems for the past week, but they are beginning to clear up. Right now we are just enjoying the remainder of the summer and trying to keep her from always wanting to go "outsi."

Fun Times, Sick Times

Here K is modeling her backpack. This is one of those great harnesses to help mommy keep up with a very wild child. She likes to run around with it.
Daddy was mean and styled my hair.
Right now we are recovering from the croup and asthma. K is doing much better and she finally had a good night's sleep last night. That meant that mommy finally had a good night's sleep as well. She now weighs 21 pounds. She is petite for her age, but that is okay because I was too.

Where's K?

We're on our way to mommy's family reunion. I hear there are a lot of them, but I'm not quite sure about this.
Find the foot.
Maybe you can see the body. Where's the K?
Can't find her anywhere:)
Surprise!!! K has figured out how to put her in the kitchen cabinet and that is her favorite place to hide. We were surprised because of how dark it must be in there, but it doesn't seem to faze her one bit. Uncle Eric helped her at first, but now she knows how to close it on her own. Kind of like Where's Waldo, but a lot more fun!

Summertime Snacking

I start my mornings early. I get mommy up and we have a pre-breakfast snack. Usually yogurt and some yummy milk and then I play like crazy. Once I have worked up a really good appetite I sit down to eat the real breakfast! I'm a fan of blueberries, watermelon, Cheerios, and whatever grandmom is eating.
Like my suit? I got in my pool and had a great time with mommy. She didn't put those pictures in here, but I think it was because I'm so much cuter in my suit than she is:)
Leg kicks are crucial before going to the pool to swim. Don't want cramps in my calves:)

Happy Freedom Day!!!

Daddy and I are enjoying our 4th of July day. We finally got some rain here and it was a wonderful blessing!!! Of course, I know I am adorable in my matching outfit. Mommy didn't know we had a dress to match the hat! Silly mommy.
I tried to hide from mommy but she caught me red-handed. I'm just rearranging things mommy, honest!
Okay, I was just kidding about the rearranging thing. I can't keep a straight face!
Well everyone, happy 4th of July! K shows her independence spirit with a lovely red, white, and blue shirt complete with Huck Finn pants:) Her reddish hair and startling blue eyes complete the patriotic look. Hope all of you have a great day celebrating your independence! Watch out for those fireworks.

My Daughter is Paranoid

K now has begun to run from anything. Sometimes it is someone who isn't even there. Here you can see her hiding in the cupboard. She is afraid of discovery so she is working on her secret hiding place. She is now working on 14 teeth and she can say "baby" very clearly. She holds her hands up in disbelief when she doesn't know something (grandmom taught her that one) and she is just growing leaps and bounds. Her hair is curling nicely around her ears and she is working on temper tantrums now (must be the red hair coming out). Needless to say, our lives are very busy at the moment and I must say it is an adventure that I wouldn't trade for the world:)
