Got My Blue Jeans On

Now the fun times of therapy have begun! K is learning how to pull herself up from a sitting position. We have her sitting in our lap and then she pulls herself up. It's going to be a little more difficult for her, but as you can see nothing will stop her from getting what she wants.
The cell phone is obviously the prize. Guess not much changes when you are sixteen.
Check out those jeans. Doesn't she look adorable? Our little cue ball.

Happy First Thanksgiving!

Well, we have arrived in Indiana safely. K did really well on the trip up. She enjoyed driving around town with her very own steering wheel. Definitely don't want to rush to that point in our life.
Here is K's First Thanksgiving outfit. The tights are a little "untight" but of course she manages to pull it off well. You can't really see it, but she is playing with her "Little People" Thanksgiving set. Her cousins C and M gave it to her. She enjoys chewing on all of it. I know that comes as a shock to all of you!
Here is a better view of the Little People. Too adorable!
Here is K with her Aunt Joy. We stopped in Tennessee on our way to Indiana. It was a nice little visit, but we hope to get back for a longer one.
K has this new habit that she does now. She juts out her bottom jaw and shows off her pretty white teeth. Guess she wants the world to know that she is big and bad with those grown up teeth. See the double chin? Packing on the weight now! Once again, we wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving! Stay tuned for some more pictures. I am sure we will go Hog Wild with the pictures:) Love you mom and dad and Aunt Amy and Uncle Eric:)

Saturday Equals FUN DAY!

Today K is experiencing her very first Auburn vs. Alabama game. We thought she should be appropriately attired. This is a little cheerleader outfit, but it is made for a two year old. She has a little bit of time to grow into it.
K is getting sneaky now. She can roll wherever she wants to which means much trouble for mommy and daddy. Stay tuned for the adventures of K as she travels throughout the house. There is so much to explore and so little time!!!
K sleeping off the hard day of rolling. The animosity towards Pooh has obviously dissipated.
All I can say is that K and her daddy sleep in strange ways! Her little bottom is sticking up in the air and Pooh is crushed underneath. So much for the love!

My Daughter is a Genius!

I would just like to say that my daughter is a genius. She has learned the crucial word that makes the world go round! MAMA!!! I know most children say "dada" first, but not K. No, she is different. She does not want to conform to those boring rules of babyhood. Of course, daddy would like for her to say "dada" but she just isn't willing to do it. He tells me that she said it this morning, but of course that is probably just wishful thinking:) At any rate, our little girl is growing at an alarming rate. She now has four teeth on the top and two on the bottom. It really hurts when she decides to chew on you. A couple of days ago we were visiting some friends and she bit the guy on the finger. He didn't realize what she was doing and he found out that those little daggers hurt! K is truly a ravenous beast. More exciting adventures to come!

Why Does She Grow?

Ladies and gentlemen, it is official. My little daughter is getting too big too fast:( She can now register on a growth chart! I didn't want to admit it, but daddy was so sure she was tall enough and unfortunately he was right. It just seems to go by so fast that I am afraid too soon she will be a teenager!
K has met Clifford. She and daddy read the Clifford book and then she read to Clifford. She is destined to be an avid reader like both of us!
K has figured out the art of rolling. She has been doing it for a few days now, but it has really taken off. You can't turn your back on her for a second. She tried to get the dog toys, but I convinced her that she had enough to play with. Then she tried to eat the chair leg. There's no stopping her now!

Feeling Better!!!

K is getting very good at feeding herself now. She has figured out how to use her front teeth to chew. Her preferences are chicken and turkey sticks and green beans.
Cause and effect. Mommy does something really weird and goofy and as a result K finds it hilarious! Talk about fun!
K is modeling mommy's hat. She looks better in it though.
I can't get this dumb thing off!!!

Chest Surgeon Appointment

Well, today was an interesting day as always. We went to the pediatric surgeon to get K's chest wall examined. Thankfully the surgeon told us that none of her organs are exposed and he think that she possibly has some missing cartilage, but the chest wall looks complete, just slightly asymmetrical. We don't have to go back to him for a year, so that is a promising thing. K is also teething right now and we are wondering about an ear infection. Things are coming down to the wire and surgery is getting closer by the minute. Prayers for us would be greatly appreciated. We have to keep K free from sickness and it is getting to be difficult with winter coming up.

Growing up Too Fast!

Those front teeth are definitely coming in handy.
She really left a dent in this apple.
Just relaxing after physical therapy. Life is good!
Daddy and K are playing roll the ball. Don't think K has quite caught on to this concept.

Just Great to Be Smilin'

Zoom in to check out the teeth on the top! Beautiful.
Probably should save this shirt for those teenage years:(
Here is our little intellectual. She knows so many things and I'm sure she thinks she knows more than that!
What a life! Laying back in the bed just enjoying the lazy day. Mommy do I have to get up? Let's just hang our here all day.
