For those of you who don't know, K is a beautiful little girl who was affected by Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS). She was born with a malformed arm and several other problems related to the ABS.
So I had all of this great goals this summer. To keep this blog going, go to the beach three times a week, and just have a rockin' summer. The first two things didn't happen, but the third was true because I was with my little girl all summer. I have only a few days left and I am trying to think of what it will be like to not be around my little girl all day:( We have had fun, but I think I do bore her occasionally. This summer has been one of hairstyling, coloring, teaching imaginary students, and just being a summer bum. Most of you know by now that we are expecting in March another addition to our family and it is exciting. Scary too, but I would be remiss if I didn't admit that. K's condition is very rare, but it is still hard to be able to completely trust. I haven't figured out how to totally trust God, but I don't believe I am the only one out there. K is excited about having a baby in the family and she has already contributed names: boy-Madeline, girl-Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Needless to say, she won't be in the naming process. We will keep all of you updated and I promise to try to be better.
Here K is getting married:) Don't want to rush that at ALL!!!
She wants a baby brother, but this picture really concerns me about the wisdom of that request:)
Here K is organizing her bears. She spends a lot of time lining things up just right. Notice how they are facing each other. Sometimes she amazes me in what she comes up with.
Here K is singing songs for the preschool graduation. She has been practicing for quite awhile.
Mommy got to have a flower given to her by her little girl. It was wonderful.
This is how we came into the performance. She saw us and lit up. Gotta love that!!
Cheese!! Our little girl is growing up and up every day. It feels like her dresses are shrinking overnight!
